Valley Community Youth Choirs
Experience the joy of singing.
Valley Community Youth Choirs develops community through singing, acting, and performing. We cultivate a joyful, inclusive environment and inspire and uplift others through community performances.
Choirs and Classes
Our choir and drama program is designed to meet the needs of children from babies and toddlers through 12th grade. We care deeply about the children and strive to provide a loving environment where each child feels like an important part of the group. We believe in the power of singing, acting, and performing to shape the child into someone with confidence, compassion, and leadership skills.
Music Makers
Music Makers is for children ages 3-5. Through playful activities, games, and movement, participants work together to make music. Each class includes practice on in-tune singing, steady beat, and early music literacy skills. Emphasis is on joyfully making music!
Alegría (Joy)
Alegria is for children in K-1st grades. Participants will engage in playful music making to develop singing intonation, performance skills, and early music literacy skills, including rhythmic, melodic, and partwork skills. Plenty of movement, games, and fun will anchor this experience.
Melodía (Melody)
Melodía is for children in 2nd-5th grades. Participants develop their vocal technique and expand their music literacy skills through enticing games and activities. Melodia will put on a Christmas Drama in December as well as a musical in the spring. Participants will experience the joy of singing together and the delight of performing for an audience.
Armonía (Harmony)
Armonía is for children in 6th-12th grades. Singers will cultivate their vocal technique, intonation, and music literacy skills. A variety of musical styles are experienced. Confidence,
leadership, and musicianship are developed through working together and sharing our music with the community.
