Valley Community Youth Choirs offers a leveled choir program designed to meet the needs of children from Preschool through 12th grade. We care deeply about the children and strive to provide a loving environment where each child feels like an important part of the group.  We believe in the power of singing to shape the child into someone with confidence, compassion, and leadership skills.

Cherub Choir is for children age 4-1st grade. Participants learn proper vocal technique and age-appropriate music theory through games and play. Each class includes games and activities to promote in-tune singing, work on steady beat, learn rhythmic concepts, and develop early music literacy skills. Emphasis is on joyfully making music.

Melodía is for children in 2nd-5th grades. Participants develop their vocal technique and expand their music literacy skills through enticing games and activities. This choir sings both unison and multi-part music in a variety of styles, including traditional, classical, folk, and contemporary pop songs. The primary goal for the singers is to experience the sheer joy of singing together.

Male And Female Students Singing In Choi

Armonía is for children in 6th-12th grades. Singers will cultivate their vocal technique, intonation, and music literacy skills. Most of the vocal literature for this group uses 3-part and 4-part harmony. A variety of musical styles are experienced, including traditional, classical, folk, and contemporary pop songs.  Confidence,

leadership, and musicianship are emphasized.
